Me

Unable to find unique, quality made jewelry and accessories, Cadence Archer was born. I took a leap and decided to start my own business. My company’s core mission is to create couture quality jewelry that is accessible to all. Working alone in my NW Washington, DC studio, I craft each item by hand. I am a primarily self-taught jeweler, but I have studied closely under noted goldsmiths and jewelers in the metropolitan DC area. I use traditional jeweler techniques, such as sawing, dapping, forming, drilling, setting, soldering, and polishing. My pieces typically start with sawing metal, whether sheet, tubing, or wire into a beginning form and proceed from there. I individually solder earring posts on to my earrings. I set my stones by hand in a variety of settings. I also carve wax to create designs that are cast into various metals, which finish by hand. I complete my jewelry by adding different textures and finishes. A large part of my jewelry production process is using recycled metals, fair-trade gems, and eco-friendly products whenever possible. I work primarily with sterling silver but am expanding my collection to include gold as well as silver-fill and gold-fill items to provide economical alternatives that still provide a high quality product to which Cadence Archer clients are accustomed.

My designs are quietly classic and modern with an understated elegance. As a former litigator, my designs allow all individuals, even those in professions with conservative dress codes, to express themselves through accessories with chic flare. My jewelry pieces include rings, bracelets, necklaces, and cufflinks. Many Cadence Archer designs are unisex. Cadence Archer is for the striking beauty & charming spirit in us all!
